Romaine Ai Rogers, 95, of Rutland, died Jan. 8, 2006, at his home. He was born in Bridgewater, Feb. 16, 1910, the son of Ai and Dora (Capron) Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was employed at Vermont Marble Co. for many years, retiring years ago.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include four sons, Cecil Rogers Sr. of Brandon, Romaine Rogers and Donald Rogers Sr. of Rutland and Bernard Rogers of Shrewsbury; a stepson, David Rogers of Rutland; a sister, Elise Lawrence of Cornish; a brother, Ai Rogers Jr. of New York; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (Stocker) Rogers.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Bridgewater.
