JOHN'S ISLAND - Anzie Smoak Caddin, 80, died Monday in a local nursing home. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Stuhr's Downtown Chapel in Charleston, will be in White Church Cemetery in Ravenel.

Mrs. Caddin was born in Hampton, a daughter of Benjamin G. Smoak and Ferbie Davis Smoak. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joseph N. Caddin.

Surviving are a daughter, Beulah C. Bishop of John's Island; a son, Joe Caddin of John's Island; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
