She was betrothed to Alexander Waddell II and matrimonial bond was made by him and Wm. Sharp on Dec 25, 1816, and the marriage was solemnized on January 7, 1817, in Pocahontas Co., WV. She and Alexander were the parents of seven children; Mary, Ellenor, Jane, William, John, James M, Alexander III.
Rebecca died soon after the birth of her last child around 1830. Pocahontas Co. census of 1830 shows Alexander Waddell was still living there so her passing was near that date. The exact place of burial for Rebecca is not known.
Alexander did not remarry until his migration to Gallia Co., OH, where he joined his parents and some of his siblings who had moved there several years earlier. It was there that he was married to Rachel Campbell on Oct 2, 1831, then continued on west to Indiana.
