John Miles Cary, 90, a U.S. Army WWII veteran who participated in the D-Day invasion, passed away on December 20, 2011.
He was the devoted husband of the late Dorothy (nee McGorry). He was the loving father of J. Miles Cary, Gregory M. Cary (Andrea), Joseph P. Cary (Judy), Kate Wenk (the late Raymond) and the late Deborah Sagers (the late Gary), Dennis Cary and Timothy Cary; beloved grandfather of Emily, Mary Elizabeth, Kristen, Jason, Lauren, Raymond, Erin, Justin, Katie and Colleen; dear great grandfather of Parson, Elijah, Joseph, Benjamin, Ryan, Jonathan, Elizabeth and Kierin; beloved brother of Mildred Parenteau and the late Isabel Murray, Mary Nahm, William Cary and Philip Cary.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. Friday, December 23, in church at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Ave., West Brandywine, followed by his funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery Mausoleum, West Chester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Chester County Hero Fund, 820 Heatherstone Drive, Berwyn PA 19312.
