He was born July 28, 1933 in Stockbridge, son of the late Louie and Katherine Schueler Polster.
On October 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to Janet Kloehn at the Methodist Church in Forest Junction.
Louis enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing sheepshead, golfing and fixing cars for family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Janet of Kiel; two daughters, Jayne (Stephen) Scheuren and Cinda (James) Pennings both of Howards Grove; and five grandchildren, Brittany, Shelby and Joseph Pennings, Joshua and Jacob Scheuren. He is further survived by four brothers, Gordon (Serena) Polster, New Holstein, Henry (Joyce) Polster, Kiel, James (Loanne) Polster, Cleveland, Clarence (Barbara) Polster, Sheboygan Falls; one sister, Kathleen Otto, Kiel.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Adelia Kloehn; two sisters, Adeline (Walter) Wagner, Marion (Clarence) Wagner; three brothers, Allen, Delyle and Paul Polster; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Kloehn.
Burial in the Kiel City Cemetery.
