Clarence C. "Butch" Polster, 84, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Wednesday morning, February 1, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay surrounded by his family. Born October 27, 1938 in Stockbridge, WI, Clarence was a son of the late Louie and Katherine Schuler Polster. He attended Kiel area schools and Kiel High School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Marines from 1961 to 1965 during the Vietnam War. In June of 1966, he was united in marriage to Judy Pontzloff in Kiel until her death in July of 1970. On June 3, 1972, he married Barbara J. Tauschek at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Butch worked at Windmill Woodworking in Sheboygan Falls until his retirement. He previously worked at Richardson Lumber. He was a member of Ebenezer UCC and the Sheboygan Falls Lions Club. He was an avid Brewer and Packer fan. He enjoyed fishing, jigsaw puzzles and watching car shows. One of his greatest joys was riding his Honda Shadow motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barb; his children, Dawn (Jim) Foshag, Sheboygan, Michael (Jody) Polster, Brookville, OH, and Michelle Polster, Sheboygan Falls; his grandchildren, Heather and Brandon Foshag, and Alex, Zach, Hope and J.J. Polster; his sister, Kathleen Otto; a brother-in-law, Robert Tauschek; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Polster, Serena Polster and Loanne Polster; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides his parents and first wife, Judy, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Polster and his brothers and sisters, James, Marion (Clarence) Wagner, DeLyle, Adeline (Walter) Wagner, Louis (Janet), Jr., Allen (Yvonne), Henry, Gordon and an infant brother. A memorial service for Butch will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in his name. The family would like to thank Nurse Sawyer and the nurses and staff of the ICU at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay and the staff of Terrace Place for all of their loving care and support. The Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Butch's arrangements.
