Dies in Marietta

John Edward Leming, 92, former Roman, passed away at his residences in Marietta at 1:30 p.m. Sunday following an illness of one month.
Mr. Leming was born in Floyd County, May 22, 1864, son of the late Riley & Frances Broadway Leming. Prior to moving to Marietta four years ago, he had spent the greater part of his life in Rome & spent a number of years living in the Desoto Park Community. He was a former employee of Primrose Tapestry Company, having been associated with the company for over 20 years as a mechanic. His wife the former Miss Julia Young, died in September 1910.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lee T. Plumadore of Marietta, one daughter-in-law Mrs. Florence Fleming, of Rome; 20 grandchildren & 22 great-Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bush Arbor Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ralph Tyner, John Collins, J.I. Armstrong, W. P. Alford, Harold Giles, & James Wayth.
