Hesperia, Jan. 24—(Special)—Mrs. Sara Artlip, 84 years old, resident of the Hesperia area many years, died yesterday in Greenwood township. Mrs. Artlip, who was Sara Colgrove before her marriage, was born Nov. 30, 1855 in New York state. She came to Michigan in 1869 and was married in 1870 to Reuben B. Artlip. Mrs. Artlip has resided both in Newaygo and Oceana counties. She was preceded in death by Mr. Artlip in 1930. Mrs. Artlip was a member of the Presbyterian church. Surviving are three sons, Willis, of Hesperia, George and Asa of Muskegon and a daughter, Mrs. Ida Rose of Hesperia. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p. m. from the McCallum school with Rev. Mings of Grand Rapids in charge. Burial will be in Greenwood.
