BLACKSHEAR - Juddie Preston Burgsteiner, 78, of Blackshear died today in a Jesup nursing home following an extended illness. A native of Effingham County, he had lived in Pierce since 1909. He was retired from the Atlantic Coast Line R.R. and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leila Burgsteiner of Patterson; a daughter, Mrs. Nela Mae Harrison of Seaside, OR; a son, Alton Burgsteiner of Blackshear; two sisters, Mrs. C.R. Jones of Springfield and Mrs. Goldie Newton of Sylvania; a brother, H.L. Burgsteiner of Guyton; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by the Clough-Pearson Funeral Home of Blackshear.
