Glenn Nelson was born October 20, 1912. He attended Sacred Heart School through the eighth grade and graduated from Staples High School. After graduation he worked as a cook at the former B & L in Staples.
He entered military service at Fort Snelling on November 5, 1942, serving with the Army in Italy. He was discharged on November 17, 1945.
He then was employed by the former Northern Pacific Railroad at Staples and Hawley, Minnesota, before hiring out on the Pacific Fruit Express Company, working in California and later transferring to El Paso, Texas where he retired as chief clerk. He lived in El Paso for 49 years.
Glenn is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
