Obituary from paper dated January 5, 1978 received from Researcher Dolly Trickey: "Donald E. Butts -- Donald E. Butts, 45, Plainfield, died at the Wautoma Memorial Hospital at 8:10 a.m. after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Goult Gasperic Funeral Home at Plainfield. The Rev. Ralph Deal of the Plainfield Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be made in the Plainfield Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Butts was born at Plainfield on Feb. 12, 1932, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Butts. He lived in Plainfield all of his life. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Virginia) Bender, and Ms. Linda Sagam, both of Plainfield, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Butts, also of Plainfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister."
