Charlotte Withrow, age 96, of Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of Exline, Iowa, died Thursday morning April 7, 2011, at Bright Kavanaugh House in Des Moines.

Charlotte was born April 3, 1915 in Exline, Iowa, to Thomas Adams and Florence Turk Adams. She was married to Burdeen Withrow of Exline, Iowa, in Clarinda, Iowa, July 24,1943, by Pastor Charles R. Rowe. She retired as a bookkeeper from the Distinctive Packaging Company of W. Des Moines, Iowa.

She was Past Matron of DeNova Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Daughters of the Nile, White Shrine #43 and the Kennsington Club. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Exline, Iowa, until its closing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burdeen; her parents; five sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday afternoon, April 11, 2011, at the Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m., until 1:30 p.m., Monday. Burial will be in the Exline Cemetery, Exline, Iowa.

A memorial has been established to North Gate Eastern Star of Des Moines or Courtyard Estates at Cedar Point in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
