"Marian Reynolds Kirk Mason, 96, of Foulkeways, Gwynned, formerly of Glenmoore and Little Washington, died on Sunday, June 6, 2004. She was the wife of Bartram Cornog Kirk and Charles Robert Mason. Born in Malvern, she was the daughter of Elizabeth Beidler Smedley Reynolds and Marshall Johnson Reynolds. She was a 1926 Graduate of the George School and a 1930 graduate of Swarthmore College. She and her first husband owned and operated Wildbriar Farm, a dairy farm at Little Washington. After Bartram's death in 1942, she continued to operate the farm for a few years before working for Downingtown National Bank. In 1957, she married C. Robert Mason and moved to Mapleflower Farm, Glenmoore. Mrs. Mason was a lifelong member of Willistown Friends Meeting, a Girl Scout leader of Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council and was on the Wallace Township Recreation Board. Her interests included travel, camping, great books, knitting, sewing, nature, music, narrative writing and mountains. She is survived by two daughters, Anne Kirk Neff of Gwynned, and Kathleen Kirk Newman of Woods Hole, Mass., and four step children, John R. Mason of South Berwick, Maine, Kay D. Halbach of Raymond, N.H., Thomas R. Mason of Havertown and Margaret Mason of Glenmoore; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, at Willistown Friends Meeting, 7069 Goshen Road, Newtown Square.
