She was a retired executive secretary for the U.S. House of Representatives in the offices of Representatives George A. Goodling and Herman T. Schneebeli; a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, and its Women of Trinity group; the Garden Club of Harrisburg; the Civic Club of Harrisburg; and the Friends of Peace Church, Camp Hill.
Born on September 17, 1908, she was the daughter of the late *Charles F. and Myrtle C. (Caveny) West. She was the widow of Cassius Kennedy. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Surviving are a step-daughter, Phyllis K. Galt of Greenville SC, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Monday in the chapel of her church with the Rev. John H. Brock officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Shiremanstown.

With no place of birth I researched Jeanette's family and found her family in 1920 living in Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pa. where Charles was working on the railraod as a carpenter. In 1930 they were still in that place. They were living on Penn St. With Jeanette was her siblings, Carl who at the time was 27 years old and William who was 26 years of age. Carl was a teacher at the public schools. William didn't have an occupation
