Mary Field was one of seven children born to William Field (1698-1748) and his wife Jane, possibly Benton (d. after 1773). Mary was probably the sixth child and eldest daughter. I am guessing on her possible birth year. Mary came to North Carolina, probably when her mother came sometime around 1753/5. The last record we've found of her was her signing a deed in 1758. I do not know whether she died or married, or any details of her life.

Update: Thanks to information from Find A Grave contributor Mary Louise Reynolds (#47664956), I believe Mary Field married Joseph Phipps. Find A Grave # 113133969

Aaron Phipps (d. 1840) was a soldier of the Revolution. When his widow Jane Ingle Phipps was applying for a pension as the widow of a Soldier of the Revolution in 1845, her son Samuel Phipps wrote an affidavit which suggested his father had a cousin named Jeremiah Field. This suggests Mary Field married Mr. Phipps. When they married is yet a mystery. (He may have had an earlier wife who was mother of his older children.)
