Fred A. Carr, 83, of 1558 McKinley Ave., died Thursday in his home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1851, the son of Silas and Effa Carr. He married Mabel L. Kunzelman, Oct. 30, 1924, in Chicago. Mrs. Carr died May 18, 1954.
Carr was a custodian at Beloit College from 1949 until 1961 when he retired.
Survivors include a son, Donald Carr of Beloit; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Ramey of Williamstown, Ky.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Rosman, Uehling, Kinser Cranston Road chapel with the Rev. Wallace E. Spielamn officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. at the chapel. The family suggests memorials to the Beloit College Athletic Department.
