Ellen was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on August 10, 1929, to Orville and Ruth Parker. She had an identical twin sister, Helen, and an older sister, Sue Shamburg. Throughout their lifetimes, the twins were inseparable. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1947 and enrolled in Stephen's College where she earned an Associate's Degree in Interior Design. After graduation, Ellen married Robert G. Conner of Ponca City and mothered two children, a daughter, Crystal L. Harris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dale V. Conner of Ponca City, Oklahoma. She also raised a nephew, Andy Parker of Alvada, Colorado. She was an avid golfer for much of her life and won a number of golf championships. She was also a fantastic seamstress and cook. She also loved to care for her gardens. Later in life, she married Dr. James A. Webb and moved to Milford, Kansas. When Dr. Webb retired, they moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, and became active members of First United Methodist Church where their son-in-law was Senior Pastor. She is succeeded by her son-in-law and daughter, Nick E. and Crystal L. Harris, her son and daughter-in-law, Dale V. and Sheila Conner, and her nephew and his wife, Andy and Debbie Parker. She is also succeeded by five grandchildren, Amy Gutteridge, Dustin Conner, Jamie Don Russell, Shea Shaw, and Deak Harris, and by her fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Orville and Ruth Parker, her twin sister, Helen Chidley, and her husband, Dr. James A. Webb. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church at Northwest 5th and Robinson Street, in Oklahoma City, at 10:00 AM, on Friday.
