Mrs. Emma Bowman Fisher, 70, of Oakley died today in her home where she had been in failing health for the last year. She passed her entire life near Oakley where she was born Nov. 28, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bowman. She married in Oakley Jan. 22, 1889 to George M. Fisher who is now living in California. She was a member of the United Brethren church and for several years taught school in Macon county.
She leaves seven children, Mrs. Harry Cooper, Miss Florence Fisher, Jeff Fisher and Mrs. Everett Hupp, all of Decatur, Mrs. Ernest DeGraff, Seattle, George, GreatFalls, Mont. and Lynn Fisher, Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. William Joste, Macon, Mrs. Charles M. Borchers, Decatur, Miss Leona F. Bowman, Springfield, Ohio and Mrs. R. J. Miller Nashville,Tenn.; brother W. F. Bowman Decatur; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
