Doris Brower, 78, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, June 19, 2009, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Brower was born December 16, 1930, in Glenwood, Ark. She was a hair stylist
and a member of Nash Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by one son, Greg Brower. Survivors include her husband, Byron Brower Jr. of Texarkana; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Steve Brower of Nash, Texas, Dennis and Ruth Brower of Schulenberg, Texas, and Richard and Glenda Brower of Wake Village, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Sue Pounds of Nashville, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with Jimmy DeMoss officiating, under direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at
