Alexander Bunk, 77, of 2201 Erie Ave.. died Monday at St. Nicholas Hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks.
Born in Sheboygan on Oct. 12, 1885. he was a son of the late William and Marie Buhk. The family moved to the town of Centerville (Manitowoc County) where he attended district schools.
On July 17. 1915 he married the former Hulda Stegner of Sheboygan. She died May 30, 1961.
Mr. Bunk was a painter in Sheboygan for 43 years and was an employe of the Elvers Bros. Painters at the time of retirement in 1961.
Mr. Buhk was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, the Sheboygan Senior Citizens Club, St. John Evangelical Friendship Club, past president of the Home Folks Club, and a former member of the Sheboygan Gymnastic Society.
Survivors are a son Marvin A. Buhk of Dallas, Tex.; a daughter Mrs. Melvin (Ruth) Stugart of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren, and a brother, Arling, of Sheboygan.
Preceding him in death were nine sisters and brothers.
Christian Science services will be read at 2:30 Wednesday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels by Wilbert Grams. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 4 p.m. today.
