Gordon White was born May 18 1761 in Augusta County, Virginia. Married Ann Diddle, daughter of John Diddle of Augusta County by the Reverend John McCue a Presbyterian Clergyman from Tinkling Springs. They had 7 children, all born in Augusta County, Virginia. Ibby "Hutchison", Margaret (Peggy) Rogers, Ann, John D, Sarah Drucella (Sally) "Henderson", Ann Gordon "Houston", and Sophronia (Sophey) "Stone". The family moved to Blount County Tennessee in the year 1818. Mr Gordon was a Revolutionary War Veteran serving under the command of Captian Alexander Hall 1781. Died Feburary 23 1835 Blount County, Tennessee.
