Shirley G. Leatherwood, 73, of Huntsville passed away Thursday at a local hospital.
Mrs. Leatherwood retired from Huntsville Hospital in 1998 after 17 years of service; she previously worked at Britling Cafeteria for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Leatherwood Sr.
She is survived by three sons, Bill Leatherwood Jr. and wife Rosemary of Meridianville, Derrick Leatherwood and Johnny Leatherwood, both of Huntsville; daughter, Effie Huddleston of Toney; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her dog, Pumpkin.
