MORE NOTES:

Ezra was a well-known and respected player for the Stamps, Arkansas, Yellowjackets football team in the 1920s. He was also involved in other sports, plus drama and the glee club.

Being a strong Christian man, he raised his family in the church and sang in the choir. He could watch a football game on TV, listen to another one on the radio, and read about one in the newspaper. (Don't get in his view of the TV!) He enjoyed raising bees in his back yard.

No stranger to a sawhorse, if something needed to be built, he was working on it.

Ezra was always up for a fishing trip with the family and made some of the best deep-fried fish, fries, and hush puppies allowed to be made by man. He also loved splitting a watermelon with the grandkids and making homemade ice cream to enjoy while sitting in front of the big box fan in the kitchen, or on the large driveway, out back.

Ezra wouldn't hesitate to let anyone know where the line was drawn, but he was a kind, loving, gentle man to those who knew and loved him most.
