Obituary - London Free Press - June 22, 2009

DAVIS, Henry Cecil 'Harry' - of Tobermory passed away at University Hospital, London on Sunday, June 21, 2009 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Doak) Davis who predeceased him in 2006 and dear father of sons Rob (Brenda) Davis of London, Russ (Tracy) Davis of Mississauga and daughter Norma (Don) Adams of Seagrave, Ontario. Grandpa will be sadly missed by his 5 loving grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Harry was a WWII veteran and D-Day participant. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Tobermory and the Masonic Lodge. He was the Postmaster in Tobermory from 1948 to 1967 and in Dutton from 1967 to 1975. Visitation will be at the Tobermory United Church on Tuesday June 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 24th at 11:00 am. Interment Dunk's Bay Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations to the Tobermory United Church or the Canadian Diabetes Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
