Helen M. (Walsh) Gallagher, 85, of Porter Lane, West Dennis, formerly of Worcester, died in Mayflower Place Nursing Home, West Yarmouth, after a long illness.
Her husband, Frank J. Gallagher died in 1982. At the time of her death she left a cousin Eleanor C. Gallagher of West Dennis with whom she lived and a nephew, the Rev. Paul J. Tougas, pastor of St. Mary of the Hills Church in Boylston and other nephews.
She was born in Stafford Springs, CT. and lived here many years before moving to West Dennis in 1972.
Mrs. Gallagher was a clerk for many years at O'Brien's Religious Shop. She then worked at Sharfmans Jewelers before she retired.
The funeral was held from Hallett Funeral Home, 283 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, with a Mass in St. Pius X. Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth. Father Tougas was the chief celebrant. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Dennis.
