The funeral of Elbert Gano was held from his late home on Tuesday of this week. Interment in Westville cemetery.

Elbert Gano, who lives about a mile and a half east of this village, in the town of Middlefield, died Saturday afternoon of apoplexy, while loading his sleigh with sawdust at Westville, in the 65th year of his age. Mr Gano was an industrious farmer and a man highly respected by a large circle of friends. The funeral was held Tuesday at the house, Rev E. R. D. Briggs officiating, with interment in the Westville Cemetery. He leave to mourn his loss one son, Paul, residing in the West, two daughters, Mrs [Esther J.] Stiles of Middlefield, and Mrs Dr Taylor [Clara Eveline] of Schuyler Lake; a brother, Thomas Gano of Westville, and a step-daughter, Mrs John Woodcock [Adella Saxton], of this place.
