He was a Master Mason of the Opp Lodge and a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
He loved farming and was well known in Opp. He was the Best Grandfather to 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. He was a Father to 5 daughters and 1 son. He was loved dearly by his Wife Trudie B. Boothe and he dearly loved her back.
He retired from Opp Micolas Mills.
Oct. 31, 1995 - after a full life, although cut short; he passed away in Dothan, AL from pneumonia and emphysema; surrounded by his family singing. "Swing low...Sweet Cheriot". Sweet dreams Pop, we love and miss you!
Funeral services were held on Nov. 1 at Rainer Funeral Home Chapel; interment followed at Peaceful Acres.
