Leona Guin, age 87, of Winnfield, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield.

She was a member of United Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Ates of Winnfield, Betty Hollingsworth of Gonzales and Debbie Ezell of La Porte, Texas; one sister, Rosie Guin of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Robin Bartley, Craig Holland, Cindy Griffith, Tammie Orgeron and April Waggenspak; eight great-grandchildren, Jared Bartley, Joshua Bartley, Julie Bartley, Paige Holland, Kacie Holland, Kelsey Holland, Andrew Holland and April Waggenspack; and one great-grandchild, Keri Machel Hale.

Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, where the family will receive friends from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004.

Funeral services will be at Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2004 with Revs. Terry Bartley and Huey White officiating. Interment will follow in Jordan Hill Cemetery, Winnfield.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Maxey, Lynn Maxey, Leroy Johns, Frank Adcock, Kenny Oregeron and Charlie Hollingsworth.
