Paul "Whitey" Kolodzie, 65, of 115 Stedman St. died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Mr. Kolodzie retired in 1986 from Allied Chemical. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Marie Shifflet Kolodzie; four sons, Paul of Mattydale and Michael, Charles and Patrick of Syracuse; two daughters, Joanne Taylor of Mattydale and Christine Gabriell of Syracuse; 11 grand-children; a brother, Charles Kolodzie of Nebraska; three sisters, Ann Bateson of Syracuse, Nellie Wagner and Jeanney Rider of Chittenango; and several nieces and nephews. Services are Monday, at a time to be announced, at the Hollis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 1105 W. Genesee St. Contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
