William T.T. Sullivan – Young Man Commits Suicide
W.T.T. Sullivan committed suicide last Sunday morning by shooting himself through the head. Young Sullivan attended a dance Saturday evening and seemed to be in the best of spirits, and accompanied a young lady home from the dance at an early hour Sunday morning. On reaching the place, it is reported, her parents insisted firmly that he should never appear on the premises again. It is presumed that in a fit of despondency, he decided to end his trouble by taking his life. When found he had a 44 revolver clasped in both hands.
Sullivan was a hard working boy, being employed up to the time of his death by Albert Lafayette Douglass in the Stevenson and Carson, Washington area as a teamster.
The shock was a severe one to his aged parents and relatives, who reside near Stevenson, Washington.
The funeral services were held in the Methodist Church Monday afternoon, Rev. T.S. Winey, of the congregational church, preaching the sermon. Many beautiful floral pieces were laid on the grave as a token of respect for the departed.
