Mary Opal Bullock, 84, of 310 Liberty St., Warren, Pa.,
died on Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Golden Living-Kinzua Valley.Mrs. Bullock was born September 18, 1923, in Lickenville, Pa., the daughter of the late William and Orpha Bradybaugh Confer. She was raised and went to school in Barnes and was a Clarendon resident until the death of her husband.Mrs. Bullock was employed at the former Buffalo China Plant, was a custodian at Clarendon Elementary School, worked at the Community Market, the Towne Tavern, was a babysitter and she did cleaning.She was a member of the North Warren Presbyterian Church. Her children and grandchildren were her life and she enjoyed baking for her family.She is survived by a son, Gary Bullock and his wife, Carol, Warren; a daughter,
Gloria Conklin and her husband, Kenny, Irvine; a sister,
Helen Hadley, Warren; a brother, Richard Confer, Warren; a grandson, whom she raised, Robert Sullivan; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Bullock, Warren; a son-in-law, William Walters, Sr., Arizona; 14 other grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband, Harold A. Bullock, whom she married on June 1943, who died October 18, 1984; a son, Harold "Dick" Bullock; two daughters, Mary Sturdevant and Connie Walters; two grandsons, William Walters, Jr. and Gary C. "Scoopy" Bullock, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Jessica
Wagner and James Kennedy; two brothers, Russell and Alva Confer; and a sister, Charlotte Post.
