Polly Darrow was the daughter of Capt. John Darrow fought in Rev. War and Eunice Eggleston. Her father buried in Mountain View Cemetery, New Concord, Columbia Co., NY. After her father's death her mother remarried to Broadstreet Spafford and she is buried in Hillside Cemetery in Clarendon, Orleans Co., NY.

She married @1816 Caledonia Springs, Livingston Co., NY. Cheney Luce pg. 103; born 30 July 1793 Sagerfield NY or VT; bapt. 29 Jul 1795; Soldier in War of 1812, enl. from Sackett's Harbor NY. He was a cabinetmaker, went blind; died 3 Mar. 1881 Verona, Dane Co. WI. He was the first Luce in Verona, Dane Co., WI.
From census's I have seen it says Cheney Luce (Sr.) born in Vermont and parents born in Vermont.
Dates on tombstone for Polly do not correlate with dates in book reference. Son Cheney Luce Jr. born in Rochester, Utsler, New York from Snohomish WA obituary. From there I think they moved to Cherry Valley, Ashtubla Co., Ohio, then Stevens Point, Portage Co., WI. where Polly Darrow Luce was killed. After her death, Cheney Luce (Sr.) moved with Nathaniel Root and daughter Chloe P. Luce Root to Verona, Dane Co., WI. where he passed away at age 84. Book references says he was a cabinet maker and went blind in old age. dwebb
