On the 4 day of Jan. 1919, the spirit of SISTER BETTY GARRISON passed to her home beyond this vale of tears. She united with FLAT CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH in the year 1910 and remained a member until the time of her death. It can truly be said that she was a faithful wife and mother. Her loving and kind disposition made her the central interest of her home. SISTER BETTY Daughter of MR and MRS HENRY ROBERTS, was born Jan 9, 1890 and was married March 1912 to MR HENRY GARRISON. She leaves behind a husband, three children, a father and mother, two sisters, and six brothers . She had won a host of friends for she possessed such an unselfish spirit that all who came in contact with her learned to love her. During December 1918 she fell a victim to Influenza and lived only a short time. In her death we miss her from our community, but we bow in humble submission to the will of God and pray that He may guide and keep her husband and children. The funeral services were conducted by REV. O. J. JONES and her body was laid to rest in the family cemetery near the home of her father in law, MR. THOMAS GARRISON'S to wait the resurrection morning . We extend our deepest sympathy to her husband and children and can only point them to the Dear Father who alone can give comfort to the bleeding heart of man and who can heal the
wounds and bind the broken hearted.

A dear one from them has gone ,

A voice they loved so well is stilled, /68

A place is vacant in the home ,

which never can be filled.
