He was born July 8, 1934, in West Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Leslie Boyd Cochran Sr. and Myrtle Marie Mingus Cochran.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Shirley Ann Knife Cochran; two sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Lee Cochran of Longmont, Colo., and Jeffrey Lynn and Judith Cochran of Versailles, Ohio; and four granddaughters, Amanda Cochran, Danielle Cochran, Ashley Cochran, and Hannah Cochran.
He also was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly Ann Cochran; and one sister, Thelma Mae Cochran.
He graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Accounting. He was a member of the Hobart Quarter Century Club of Troy, Troy Church of The Brethren, where he was a past member of the board and treasurer, American Legion of Troy, and I.M.A. (Institute of Management Accountants). He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served during the Korean War.
He was a pricing analyst with PMI retiring in 1997 after 41 years of service.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Baird Funeral Home, 555 North Market St., Troy, with the Rev. Sheila Shumaker officiating, and burial in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.
Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Church of the Brethren or American Diabetes Association.
