Francis Joseph Faustich, 1513 Washington street, well known local carpenter and cabinetmaker, died at his home at 12:30 a.m. Friday of heart trouble and dropsey at the age of 69. He was employed by the Duncan Electrical Manufacturing company.

Born in Hessen, Germany, July 22, 1859, he came to the United States in his youth, and lived in several cities before locating at Lafayette. He was united in marriage to Gertrude Thoennes on April 17, 1883. She preceded him in death, passing away June 17, 1897. Later, he was married to Elizabeth S. Lodde. Surviving are the widow, and the following children: Mrs. L. L. Baum, Mrs. J. J. Steill, Jr., Mrs. W. E. Tengen, John Carl Margaret and Vincent Faustich, of Lafayette, and N. Joseph Faustich of Duluth, Minn.

Friends may view the body at the home Saturday afternoon. The funeral will take place from St. Boniface church Monday morning at 8:30 o'clock. Burial in St. Boniface cemetery.
