Mable I. Mitschelen White, 85, of Plainfield, formerly of Akron, passed away Wednesday.
She was born March 9, 1921, to the late Monroe and Glyde (Rotzell) Mitschelen. A graduate of Beaver Dam High School, she was a secretary at the Indiana Boys School in Plainfield for 11 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of the Avon Community Church of God and the Women of the Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Chaplain Edison C. White, Plainfield; son, Dean E. (Pamela) White, Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Donna I. (Ronald) Bowen, Plainfield, and Diane R. White, Richmond; and a granddaughter, Stephanie I. (Josh) Nelson.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Akron Church of God, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Additional calling will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, 106 Shaw St., Plainfield. Burial will be at Akron Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Gideons International.
