FREDONIA, KS - Larry Jerome Green, 64, Fredonia, Kansas, died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Wilson County Hospital, Neodesha, Kansas.
He was born June 14, 1939, in Neodesha, Kansas, the son of Harry H. and Agnes Marie (Steel) Green.
He was a graduate of Altoona High School.
He served in the Army National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve from 1961 to 1966.
On Aug. 28, 1985, he married Mary Salmon in Benedict. She survives.
He was a truck driver for M.E.C., Prestige, Inc., CX Transportation and Foodliner.
He was a member of the New Beginnings Worship Center, Fredonia.
Other survivors include a daughter, Connie Williams, Wheatland, NY; a son, Adam Green, Fredonia, KS; three step-sons, Tim Koder, California, Sterling Koder, Fredonia, KS, and Floyd Koder, Springhill, KS; three sisters, Margaret Russell, Altoona, KS, Dorothy Varner, Benedict, KS, Mary Ann Larkin, Chanute, KS; a brother, Eugene Green, Chanute, KS; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Miller.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2004, at the New Beginnings Worship Center, led by Pastors Richard Carter and Eldon Myers. Burial, with military honors, will be in the High Prairie Cemetery, near Altoona, KS.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the New Beginnings Worship Center may be left with the funeral home.
