Norma Lee Abrams, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, in Midwest City, OK. She was born on May 31, 1928, in Harrah, OK to her parents Henry & Nona (Ensley) Russell.
Norma married her husband William H. Abrams on June 1, 1949 lasting for 44 years. They had one son together, Steven Lee Abrams who was born on February 22, 1961 and is currently 59 years old. Norma was born and raised in Harrah, OK and later graduated from Harrah High School in 1946. She later attended Central State University in Edmond, OK for one year.
Norma worked for many years at John A. Brown's Retail store in Oklahoma City, and then as a statistical typist for a CPA Accounting firm in Oklahoma City. Norma was also a corporate secretary for Abrams Aviation, a family business located at Wiley Post Airport in Bethany, OK from 1983 to 1991. Norma finally retired out of Tinker Air Force Base where she received a top secret clearance in order to work around classified documents.
Norma went to Country Estates Baptist Church in Midwest City, OK. Her many interests included her love for cats and birds, western movies, yellow roses, her favorite tv show "The Waltons" because it reminded her of her days growing up during the great depression and living through World War II. Norma took great pride in her many years as a homemaker, wife, and mother.
She is survived by her only son, Steven Lee Abrams & her future daughter-in-law Catherine Baird.
