Surviving are his wife, Clara, at the home; one daughter, Mrs. Darrel (Hulda) Burris, East Wenatchee; three sons, Wilbert Bartel, South Pasadena, Leonard Bartel, Oregon City, and Edler Bartel, Ridgecrest, his stepmother, Mrs. Daniel Bartel, Merril, six grandchildren; four sisters, Leontina Brandenburger, in North Dakota, Tillie Widmer, Pasco, Alvina Widmer, Othello, and a sister in Oklahoma four brothers, Rudolph Bartel, in North Dakota, Gus Bartel, Clairmont, and Eld Bartel and Ted Bartel, Othello.
