ESTHER G. SELVETTI
HIGGINSVILLE – Esther G. Selvetti, 80, of Higginsville, died Sunday in Stonehedge Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born in Sweden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karlison and came to this country as a child. In 1922, she was married to Carl Forsland, who died in 1950. In 1952 she was married to Fred Selvetti, who died in 1960.
She had lived in this area most of her life, having lived previously in New York City. She was employed at Griffiss AFB in World War II, and also had worked at the canning factory in Stacy Basin and in restaurants at Sylvan Beach. She was of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. Selvetti leaves four sisters in Sweden. The funeral will be from the Griffin and Aldridge Funeral Home Wednesday. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Higginsville.
