Hyrum Utah-Kathleen (Kay) Watt Lemon, 64, passed away peacefully in her husbands arms while sleeping at home and returned to the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on January 10, 2007. Kathleen was born to William Louder and Cora Ray Watt on March 30, 1942, in Tremonton, Utah. She has seven older sisters, one younger sister and four older brothers. She was the second youngest of this family. She went to grade school through the 11th grade in the Bear River School District. After being persuaded to move to Florida, by Dorothy her older sister, she moved and graduated from Miami Edison Senior High School in 1960. After living in Florida for a year she moved back to Tremonton and was employed by the City Drug Store. A few years after graduating High School, she moved to Paradise and while there she met her eternal sweetheart, Ron Lemon. He had recently returned from being in the service and it was love at first sight. They were married five short months after starting their courtship, in Thatcher, Utah on August 14th, 1964. Ron and Kay were blessed with 3 wonderful children whom they loved and always will. Later they were given a very special opportunity of going to the Logan Temple and being sealed as a family for eternity. They loved and cherished each other for 42 years and their love continued to grow through the years. Kathleen had a very special love for children and she showed that love with others as she had a daycare in her home when her children were younger. She also worked at the Deseret Industries for many years. While there she was given an award of recognition for her diligent work as employee of the month. Kay was very dedicated in teaching her children the gospel, which she loved. She served in many ways in her church, as Primary Secretary, a primary teacher, and as a visiting teacher. Kay was a great wife and loved being at home, nurturing and caring for her family, teaching them good values and how to show service and compassion to others. She taught her family and served them well. Most importantly her family learned through her faithful example to never complain and to always do their best. Kay loved to have her family around her and attended many family functions such as family reunions. Whether it was with her own brothers andsisters or with her own family. But above all, she loved spending time with her family as that was when she had her happiest moments. She also enjoyed dancing and traveling and also being outdoors. Her greatest pastime was to complete word searches. She loved being with her husband going on long rides through the canyon or around the valley. She loved making divinity and rice pudding for her family for as long as she was able. Kay was loved and admired by all who came to know her for her wonderful attitude and outlook on life. She had a beautiful sweet spirit that radiated love and compassion to everyone around her. She made everyone feel loved and welcome in her home. We have all been blessed and our lives enriched for having had such an inspiration in our lives. Mom, you'll always have a very special place in our hearts. We love you and will miss you. Till we meet again. Kay is survived by her husband Ronald, her sons, Kelly Lemon, Todd (Brenda) Lemon, and her daughter Shannon (Danny) Leishman. She is also survived by 3 grandsons (Kent, Kolby, and Tayson) and 3 granddaughters (Katie, Kirsten, and Breanna), and 1 brother and 6 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, January 15, 2007, at the Hyrum 6th Ward LDS Chapel, 450 E 100 S. Friends and family may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday, January 14th at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E Center Street in Logan, Utah and from 10:30-11 :30 A.M. prior to services on Monday, January 15, at the Hyrum 6th Ward LDS Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family at Allen Mortuaries.
