AILY L. PERRY, 87, of Wayne, W.Va., went to his heavenly home on Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., by Brother Clint Brown. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. Born October 23, 1921, at Dunlow, W.Va., he was a son of the late Ballard and Fairbelle Smith Perry. Also preceding him in death is his first wife, Georgia Aldridge Perry; son, Wendell Messer; seven sisters, Lutie Porter, Blanche Ball, Maxie Mathis, Ollie Blankenship, Polly Blankenship, Jewel Adkins and Lorene Brown ; six brothers, Luther, Brooks, Andy, Sam, John and infant Fred Perry; and a grandson, Bryan Perry. He was a retired equipment operator for the West Virginia Dept. of Highways and a member of Fairmont United Baptist Church. Aily was a proud W.W.II. veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Cathleen Salmons Perry; daughters, Loretta Ross of Wayne, Bonnie Damron and husband Calvin Jr. of Wayne, Donna Plymale and husband Garland of Wayne; sons, Vernon Perry and wife Janet of Dunlow, John Perry and wife Brenda of Wayne;
