Ardmore, OK — .Funeral services for Carol Jean Clark, 65, will be Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Harvey-Douglas Chapel by Rev. David Gardner. Burial will be at Newport Cemetery in Lone Grove.


Daughter of Carl and Pearl Scholz, Carol was born on Sept. 12, 1943, at her home in Ardmore and graduated from Ardmore High School, class of 1961. She died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at her Lone Grove home.


Carol lived in Carter County all her life except for a brief time in the 60s. She married Bill Clark on Good Friday, April 9, 1982. She worked in the pharmacy at Humpty's grocery store from 1968-1985. She also worked at Buy For Less pharmacy from 1985 until she retired in 1999.


Carol loved spending time with her family, watching movies, listening to country music and Elvis. She liked to take care of people and animals. Carol's smile and laughter were enjoyed by everyone around her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore and attended New Hope Freewill Baptist Church in Lone Grove.


Survivors include her husband, Bill Clark of the home; a daughter, Sherry Clark of Ardmore; a son, Jason Miller of Littleton, Colo.; three stepsons, Johnny Clark, Roger Clark and BJ Clark all of Ardmore; three daughters-in-law, Vickie Clark and Danielle Clark of Ardmore, and Haylee Miller of Littleton, Colo.; one stepsister, Shirley Zink and her husband Larry of Ardmore; six grandchildren, Cory Clark and his wife Tanae, Edmond, Okla., Kristie Bascus and her husband Tony of Ardmore, Dawson and Makinley Miller of Littleton, Colo., Aiden and Cullen Clark of Ardmore; great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Kolby and Kyla Clark of Edmond, Okla.; two nephews, Robert Zink of Madill, Okla., and Ronnie Shreev of Ventura, Calif.; and one great-niece, Landri Zink.


Her parents, stepmother Emma Lee Scholz, and one sister, Gloria Shreev, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers are Buddy Morton, Barry Ross, Marshall Mitchell, Raymond Sadler, Mike Sadler and Terry Clifton.
