Born in Westerly, March 9, 1914, he was the son of the late Frank and Annie (Furaro) Algiere.
On Sept. 26, 1936, at Sacred Heart Church in Taftville, he was united in marriage to Mary (Walusiak) Algiere, who died Feb. 24, 2007.
Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Harland Road, Taftville. There is no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Alzheimer's Assoc., 4 Broadway, Norwich, CT 06360
