Courtney Banks, 84, Winchester, husband of Virginia Banks, died at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph East, Lexington.

A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Mason and Sarah Neff Banks. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Additional survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dwight Banks and Walter and Ann Banks, Winchester; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and William Roy, Winchester; two grandchildren, Michael Roy and Jennifer Banks; a sister, Eva Mae Littrell; three brothers, Jerry J. Banks, John L. Banks and Paul Banks, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the cemetery from 1 p.m. Friday until the hour of service.

Scobee Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
