John Henry Dickerson Sr. of Goodman died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson on April 20. He was a 90-year-old retired farmer and a native of Madison County. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Goodman and a Veteran of World War I.
Services for Mr. Dickerson were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at the Southern Funeral Home chapel in Durant with Rev. Walter Goldsmith officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery in Goodman.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clara Turner Dickerson of Goodman: two sons, Hugh Lee Dickerson and Ralph Lamar Dickerson of Jackson; two brothers, Walter Dickerson of Sallis and Noel Dickerson of Goodman: three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Donald of Goodman, Mrs. Mary Rone of Kosciusko and Mrs. Mae Jones of McAdams; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert L.( Bobby)Barnes, Robert Harrison, Harold Donald, Marshall Dickerson Jr., Thomas E. Haffey and N.L. Dickerson.
