Hugh Lee Dickerson, 91, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the MS State Veteran's Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church with burial following at 2:30 p.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Goodman. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Mr. Dickerson was born on May 13, 1923, in Sallis, MS, the son of the late, John Henry Dickerson and Clara Eva Dickerson. A World War II veteran, he served his country honorably as a member of the US Army Air Corps. He owned and operated Dickerson Auto Clinic until his retirement. Mr. Dickerson enjoyed fishing, antique cars and traveling to various car shows. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Dorsey Dickerson.

Survivors include: daughter, Catherine Barnes (Bob) of Jackson; grandchildren, Michael Barnes (Connie) of Canton; Nicole Davis (Mike) of Madison; Michelle Burnett of Pearl; 6 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Ralph L. Dickerson (Mavis) of Jackson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hunt of Madison and 2 nieces.

Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 6000 Old Canton Road, Jackson, MS 39211 or to a charity of your choice.
