Mrs. Mary T. Witucki, 69, of 716 S. Walnut St., died Monday afternoon in her home, after a brief illness.
She was retired from the J.C. Penney department store. Born on Nov. 23, 1913 in Poland, she had lived in the South Bend area for 60 years, coming from Poland.
On Dec. 27, 1941, in South Bend, she married Ernest A Witucki Sr., who died Sept. 20, 1981. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joyce Buhler of Pear City, Hawaii; three sons, David J. of South Bend, Ernest A. of Denver, Colo., and James C. of Salt Lake City, Utah; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sally Karczewski of South Bend, Mrs. Ann Szalay of Round Lake Beach, Ill; and three brothers, Joseph, Zygmunt and Edward Kopczynski, all of South Bend.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir's Catholic Church, with Rev. Howard A. Kuhns, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and from noon until 9 p.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Funeral Home.
She was a member of the Civic Club, and the Rosary Society of St. Casimir's. Rosaries will be recited in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday by the Rosary Society and by the parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
