Harold F. Rodgers, 71, Harrison, Ohio, died Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Ft. Hamilton Hughes Hospital, in Hamilton.
Mr. Rodgers was born May 13, 1911, in Chenoa, Ill., the son of Joseph Marion and Lula Ethel Hannum Rodgers. He had lived the past 28 years in Ohio and prior to that resided in Greensburg. He had retired in 1975 from employment as a foreman for the New York Central Railroad.
he was married to Goldie L. Glenn Jan. 5, 1931, in Clarksburg, and she preceded him in death April 18, 1962. He is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Betty Jane Barber, Rushville, Mrs. Jake (Jean) Preston, R.R.4, Greensburg, Mrs. Floyd (Lula) Bryant, Hamilton, Ohio and Mrs. James (Caroline) Herbert, Millhousen; two sons: Harold F. Rodgers, Jr., R.R.1, Greensburg, Charles S. Rodgers, R.R.6, Greensburg; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, James Rodgers, Greensburg; and three sisters: Mrs. Louise Lee, Adams, Mrs. Norma Vanderpohl, Greensburg, and Mrs. Mabel Elledman, Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by one sister and two sons: Arnold Lee Rodgers and Joseph Marion Rodgers.
The services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with the Rev. John Thompson officiating, and with burial in the South Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today.
