Fred was born May 18, 1912 in Miltona Township, Minnesota the son of Herman and Emma Timm. Fred lived in Miltona Township from 1912 to 1952, moving to Littleton, Colorado from 1952 to 1975 and then to Lafayette, Colorado from 1975 to his death. He was a farmer and bus driver for 13 years.
On May 18, 1975 he was united in marriage to Helen M. Paulsen at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Littleton, Colorado.
He was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, West Milton, Minnesota and was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Funeral services were December 28, 1976 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, West Miltona, Minnesota. Rev. Kenneth Kothe officiating. Burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, West Miltona, Minnesota. Survivors include two sons, Maynard F. Timm, Littleton, Colorado; and Darrell R. Timm, St. Paul, Minnesota; two granddaughters. also surviving are 4 sisters and 2 brothers: Laura Bothun, Nelson, Minnesota; Agnes Henning, Miltona, Minnesota; Viola Leatherman, Bruce, Wisconsin and Clara Lemke, Alexandria, Minnesota; Emil Timm, St. Paul, Minnesota and Albert Timm, deceased. Casket bearers were Kenneth Henning, Dick Timm, Harlen Lemke, Timmy Timm, Duane Kaufman and Raymond Zunker.
